I'm Ed Olson and I've studied iaido at the Ken Zen Institute in New York City under Pam Parker Sensei (Kyoshi, Nanadan) for over 25 years and Tom Hooper Sensei for 10 of those years. I've studied Zen Nihon Kendo Renmai Iaido (Seitei iaido) and Muso Jikiden Eishen Ryu Iaido and have achieved the rank of Godan.

I moved to Washington in 2010 and with Parker Sensei's permission, began teaching in Bremerton in 2011.

I study Seitei Jodo with Tom Groendal Sensei (Jodo, Rokkudan) from Hoshu Dojo in Portland (www.hoshudojo.com for more details) and hold the rank of Sandan in the AUSKF.

Tonbo Dojo is a member of the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation (PNKF) and the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF).
